Long Weekends is OVER~~~~~ :(

I have been busy that is why there are no updates. Too many things to do. And i went KL over the long weekends, and catch Phantom of the opera yesterday in MBS!

Some updates now....
2nd Aug, we went Fordham and Grand to celebrate my boss and colleague's birthday. Nice place with good foods.

The owner, Timothy helps us decide on the appetizers.

2 types of Oysters for a start

Fresh Oysters ($28)

Oyster Escabeche ($34) - This is marinated with alcohol. We all love this! 

It is not in the menu though. Ask for it! :)) 

Other Appetizers. 

Burratina ($20)

Salmon Tartare ($17) - Quite the normal u will get out there. :) 

But it is still Nice.  

Hot Appetizers

Fried Cuttlefish ($16) - I quite like this. 

Portobello Mushroom ($18) - Very worth! Esp with the poached egg on top of the mushroom! Timothy is smart enough to bring us 2 plates of this. 

After we finished the mushroom, we asked for bread to dip the remaining sauce. This shows how much we love this dish~~~ <3

Main Course

Scallops with Sauteed Cauliflower ($27) - I will die for scallops. 

The scallops at F&G is fresh and cooked perfectly! Sauce is Great too! 

Lobster Linguine ($30) - I didnt try this, but my colleagues said it is good. 

Rangers Beef ($38) 

Glazed Chicken ($26) - To our surprise, the chicken is so tasty. Didnt expect it to be so tasty at all. hehe.

alil too sweet for me, but all of my colleagues love it.

Banana Cake ($14) - The nicest i ever had so far.

I will make a trip down again for the portobello mushroom and scallops!

3rd Aug, i met Jean for late brunch. hahaha. It was a impromptu meet up. I called her up when i was at the mrt station and asked her out. hehe. 

We decided to go MK Restaurant at 313!

Jade Noodles - i like this! because there's garlic on top of the noodles that makes it so flavorful

Crab Balls because i cannot eat prawns. :)

And of course the Duck! and Char Siew. Taste the same as Bangkok! 

Cannot really enjoy the food without the MK Sauce right! hehe. 

Both of us spent $71 for the whole meal. The portion is not big, but enough for us. No wastage, just nice. If you were to compare MK Restaurant and Mookata, of course i prefer Mookata!!!!! *Drooling now....*

After walking around for awhile, we went for Ice Cold Beers at Ice Cold Beer. LOL. okay i know, i sound stupid. 

Been some time since we last went. 

My stella. Jean had hoegaarden which i couldnt take. haha. I am allergy to hoegaarden. LOL. Hoegaarden makes me puke. yucks. 

Anyway, Jean and me feel so shiok when we took our 1st sip... ICY Cold. Still, no place can beat them! 

Their signature Chicken Wings!!! 

Actually we were still very full, but everywhere smells of chicken wings. Almost all the table ordered this. In the end, we gave up.... and order it! Really feel satisfied!

4th Aug, i finally tried Fat Boys Burger! hahahahahahaha. YL watch me eat. =P

Pair it with Beer when it comes to gourmet burger. My stella again! <3

YL ordered waffles. They give you the whole bottle of maple syrup for you to pour. hahahaha. 

Cannot wait to go and try other burgers!

Staycation: Day 2 Fairmont - YL's Birthday

Time pass slow today!!! Arghhh!!!

Anyway, Day 2 of staycation at Fairmont.... 

We had a great night, bed is so comfy that we dont feel like waking up. 

Guess what time it is??? 

IT IS 10am! and the room is still so dark.... We thought it is 6am! wahahahaahahhaa! Now u know, the curtains is good tooo~

After dilly dally for awhile, we finally got out of the room for Brunch! 

We went straight to Marche Bistro.... actually was considering Brotzeit too, in the end Marche Bistro won. 

Ordered Cold Cut Threesome $11.90! Actually i ordered grilled chicken Sandwich... but i saw the server carrying this plate to other table, and i changed my order. Never regret at all! 

2 types of Ham and Cheese. The Cheese is rich~~~ nomnomnom

Marche Bistro Brekkie $14.90 - bacon, choice of eggs: we choose scrambled, and 3 english sausages. 

Comes with the same bread as Cold Cut Threesome, and another bread. 

It is a pity that their bread is not hot... They dont toast their bread, i am not sure if it is their culture. 

Hot Chocolate. Looks normal yea. 

Look! It is a Bowl of Hot Chocolate! How not to be full after drinking this...... and it only costs $5.90!

After our very full breakfast, we went shopping!

We bought Panda Tees for my Godson and his Meimei.... Its so cute and Cheap! hahaha. 

Also bought a few things before going back to our room for Nua-ing session again! wahahaha.

Back to room to nua, see newspapers (famous Kovan murder)... and darling friend came to visit us... brought us tea break toooo~~~ 

Grapefruit and Orange Juice, Smoked duck with mango salsa and 4 slices of cakes....

seriously, we are so full!!!!

Chit chat with darling for about an hour... Time flies! 

And it is time to dress up for our dinner, YL's Birthday Dinner. :))

This is the place - Morton's Steakhouse! 

Table was decorated with personalized menu. Menu has 'Happy Birthday YL! and date 13th July 2013'

We ordered Steak & Seafood Menu. 

The server told us the serving is huge, and that 1 set is enough for both of us. All we need to do is to upsize the steak! True enough, we can't even finish the steak! Sadly, we had too much during the day.... 

Even the complimentary Onion Loaf is so big, its bigger than my fist... It is like a Big Big Pau. 

I like it with the salted butter given. nomnomnom

We choose Caesar Salad. This portion is after spliting into 2 plates. Big portion right???!! The bread is delicious! Crispy and tasty!

Yes, the steak and scallops is here! I love scallops, and their scallops is 1 of the best i had! As for the steak, we upsized it to Prime Ribeye, Medium. Good as well. 

The set includes a vegetable or potato, YL wants baked potato... The potato is BIG also. Bacon chunks super good leh! 

Complimentary Dessert when you go Morton's for celebrations! I chose Chocolate Souffle!

Initially we thought we are able to finish the dinner by 8pm, but we couldnt... So, we missed the Fireworks! But we enjoyed the dinner alot~~ 

Total bill was $164.66 plus a Hot Tea $9.90++, the set after upsized is $130++. 

Go Morton's for celebrations! It is worth to go!
